Now you have a chance to Teach English in Vietnam. Finally, our 5 months teaching placement is back, and you can now begin to teach in this wonderful country. Vietnam is often considered one of the best places to teach English in Southeast Asia, and it’s not just because of its warm tropical climate and fantastic food! The low-cost living and laid-back lifestyle are very appealing to travellers, making Vietnam a highly sought-after destination. The country is known for stunning places like Halong Bay, filled with ancient architecture, dotted with cascading rice fields, and renowned for its delicious food. You will be making a huge impact on your students’ lives while having the time to explore – then you’ve come to the right place.

120 Hour Advanced International TEFL Course

TEFL Lesson Planning Guide

Passport holder from one of the following countries: Ireland, UK, Canada, Australia, USA, or New Zealand
Aged between 20–40 (35–40 must show relevant coaching/tutoring/teaching experience).
TEFL qualification (order hardcopy at tefl.ie/certificates for apostille)
Bachelor’s degree (hardcopy required for apostille)
Clean criminal record (certificate required for apostille)
Clean bill of mental and physical health (enquire if you’re on medication and/or receiving ongoing treatment before booking)
Enquire if you have any visible tattoos or piercings that cannot be covered before booking
International Flights: You’ll need return flights (can be two one-way flights).
Spending Money: Recommended spending money of €700-1,000 for the first six weeks.
Health Check: Budget approx. €85 for the medical exam in Vietnam.
Vaccines: Budget accordingly. Consult your GP or local travel clinic for advice.
Insurance: Budget accordingly. Comprehensive travel insurance is recommended.
Hardcopy TEFL Certificate: Budget approx. €35 to purchase a hardcopy of your TEFL cert for legalisation. When purchasing, please contact us for the certificate format in line with Apostille Convention policies.
Legalisation of Visa Documents: Budget approx. €300-350. Bachelors Degree, TEFL Cert, and Police Cert must be legalised. Contact us for guidance.
Visa Costs: Budget approx. €25-50 (specific to each country).

Before you head to Vietnam, you will complete an accredited 120‑hour TEFL course online, giving you the teaching skills and confidence you need for the classroom.

Your Teaching Experience
You’ll teach English in a variety of educational settings across Vietnam, including private language schools, private or government primary and high schools, and universities.
Wide Range of Learners
Your students may range in age from 4 years old to 18+, giving you the opportunity to develop experience with young learners, teenagers and adults.
Structured Teaching Schedule
Teaching hours typically run from 8.00am to 4.30pm, with 20–25 hours of classroom teaching per week, alongside allocated weekly admin and lesson-planning time.
Training and Support
You’ll receive comprehensive training and guidance on how to plan, approach and deliver effective lessons, helping you feel confident and supported in the classroom.
Nationwide Placement
This is a nationwide programme, meaning placements can be anywhere in Vietnam. However, you’ll always be placed with 1–2 other interns in the same area or accommodation, ensuring a strong support network.
