In this module, you’ll learn the fundamentals of teaching Business English including the key motivations for these learners and how your role as the teacher can influence these lessons. You’ll also look at the type of language typically taught in these courses and how this differs from General English.
In module 2, you’ll learn all about Business English syllabuses and how to understand and implement these in courses that you teach. You’ll also look at classroom management techniques and how to use materials for teaching Business English.
In the third module of the course, you’ll look at the key skills in English and how to teach these for the Business English context. You’ll examine how these are important for Business English learners and how to adapt your materials to suit the needs of the learners for these skills.
In module 4, you will look more closely at how we teach grammar and vocabulary in Business English classes, and how important these are for this context. You’ll also look at the branch of English for Special Purposes (ESP) and what materials you might use if you decide to teach this niche are of TEFL.
In the final module of the Teaching Business English course, you will focus on how to incorporate everything you’ve learnt so far into lesson planning for this context. You will practise writing lesson plans for Business English classes and also reflect on your work to make you a better teacher.

This certificate allows you to teach English to non-native English speakers across the globe. The main qualifications to get a TEFL is to have the ability to speak English at a native level and then complete a course. You can complete a TEFL course either online or in a classroom. The courses vary based on the number of hours it takes to complete.
A level 5 TEFL course is regulated by Ofqual according to their qualifications framework. Another level 5 teaching qualification is the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Once qualified with a level 5 TEFL qualification, you’ll have access to the most competitive jobs worldwide.
A regulated qualification means that it is officially recognised by the government and sits on the Ofqual Register of Regulated Qualifications.
Lots of people ask about the difference between our courses. For example, our 120 hour Premier TEFL course is what we would call one of our fast-track courses. This is the minimum recognised worldwide.
• You have 10 modules to complete, usually taking 4 – 6 weeks.
• Each module has a multiple-choice test at the end, and you need 80% to pass.

• Learners typically spend 8-10 weeks to complete the 10 modules
• Since it’s a UK government-regulated Level 5 diploma course, the pass mark is 100%, and assessments are multiple-choice plus open-ended answers. Don’t worry, you can re-attempt quizzes in order to get 100%. Our academic team will review your answers at the end of your 10 modules and may ask for some questions to be reattempted (absolutely normal). Some questions may require providing academic references.
