Rachel leads our academic team in charge of marking your assessments! She has taught English for over 10 years and specialises in pronunciation. She has a DELTA qualification and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics. She’s worked in Spain, the UK, Romania, Italy and Switzerland and has taught online for 6 years. She enjoys travelling (favourites are Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia!), playing tennis and speaks 5 languages.
Laura has over 15 years of TEFL experience and has worked in South America, China and Spain. She has taught all ages, levels, class sizes & Cambridge exams. Laura loves helping students achieve their goals, which translates well for our TEFL students when she’s wearing her Tutor Support hat. An outdoorsy girl at heart, you can find Laura in a forest, on a beach or in the mountains of Northern Spain where she lives with her family.
Anya has worked in English language teaching for over 20 years as a teacher, educator, academic manager, examiner and assessor. She is CELTA and DELTA qualified, is currently doing a Master’s degree and has worked as a CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL tutor. After graduating with a French, Spanish, and Portuguese degree, Anya started teaching. She has lived and worked in Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Sri Lanka.
Michelle’s TEFL career spans over 20 years. After graduating with an English degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a TEFL qualification, she decided to teach English abroad for six years in Botswana, Africa and Tel Aviv, Israel. Since returning to Ireland, she has completed a Master’s in TESOL From the University of Limerick and teaches English to adults.
Chess-addict Przemysław is our in-house genius who is responsible for the smooth running of our dashboard system. To make your experience better and faster, we try to automate a lot of corrections and issuing certificates, as well as fast responses, and Przemyslaw will always make the experience better.
With years of experience with the digital arts, Darragh makes sure all our images and designs look on point. From photo editing to course design, there is nothing Darragh can’t do. Now living in the UK, he couldn’t be happier working on his initiative and coming up with amazing creative ideas.
With teaching experience and a degree in education, Katie has a vast amount of knowledge to help our team grow and succeed. Her love for teaching has taken her to Zambia and Abu Dhabi to teach young learners. Katie’s educational and professional background means she’s an asset to our academic team and liaises with them daily to ensure the best possible journey for our students.
The idea behind The TEFL Institute of Ireland originated in 2001 when founder Caroline Keevers and her husband travelled to Costa Rica to voluntarily teach English. Caroline was inspired to work in an industry where she could change and improve the lives of others and give them the opportunity to travel the world and gain lifelong experiences.
In the TEFL industry for over 7 years, Jessica is a Business graduate with both TEFL and CELTA certifications. She has taught English abroad in Italy and Thailand, gaining the skills to help our students find top-quality jobs by working with our overseas partners. She also works with schools nationwide and internationally to provide high-quality TEFL training for their clients. Jessica is passionate about travelling, pilates, and word puzzles.
Nikki is the Business Analyst at TEFL.ie, bringing a strong analytical mindset and international perspective to the team. Nikki previously taught English abroad in Barcelona, which sparked a lasting love of travel and global education. Nikki uses her experience and insight to support data-driven decisions, improve systems, and help TEFL.ie continue to grow and evolve.
Lisa brings a unique blend of expertise to the team, holding a BA in Early Childhood Education and a qualification in Business Administration. As an integral member of the administration team, she ensures day-to-day operations run smoothly. Her role also involves working closely with students, helping as they navigate their TEFL journey. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys exploring new places and spending time outdoors.
Ola says Hola to adventure, travel and helping spread the word of TEFL. Originally from Poland, she moved to Ireland where she was “stolen” by an Irish leprechaun. She works with the marketing team to make TEFL a brand people love, follow and feel proud of. She loves travel and jetting off to meet our interns, including spending time in Thailand helping new teachers settle in. Ola brings the heart and humour to TEFL.ie’s team.
Olivia is our Marketing Executive and creative heart behind our social media. With a degree in marketing, she brings her love for creativity, design, and storytelling into her work. Olivia keeps everyone up to date with all things TEFL through newsletters, social media, blogs, ads, and fun reels that bring our brand to life. Olivia loves staying connected with our students once they head abroad. Olivia also loves travelling and baking.
Meet Tara, our Marketing Executive. With a BA in Journalism and MSc in Management & Marketing, Tara brings creativity and a passion for storytelling to TEFL.ie. Tara ensures our brand stays engaged and informed through social content, blogs, newsletters, and digital campaigns. She specialises in marketing, media, and communications, creating meaningful content that resonates with our audience.
Elaine is a Course Enrolment Advisor at TEFL.ie, where she’s been supporting prospective students for the past two years. She’s passionate about helping students achieve their TEFL certification, seeing firsthand the incredible opportunities it can open up around the world. Elaine provides the best possible enrolment experience, from first enquiry to course start. Outside of work, she loves travelling and exploring new places.
Working in TEFL for over 35 years, John has taught in Ireland, The UK, Spain, and Portugal, and more, and written student materials and several training courses. His main areas of interest in TEFL are Business and Technical, having worked in several universities and companies in Europe. His passion for TEFL has never diminished and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to help people become involved in teaching English.
Killian is CELTA-trained and serves as one of our Course Enrolment advisors. He graduated from UCC with a BA International in Economics and French, blending his passion for travel and languages through an Erasmus year and CELTA training in France. Killian is dedicated to helping people embark on their TEFL journey and takes pride in assisting students to enrol in the right courses to achieve their goals.
Teddy TEFL is our globe-trotting mascot, travelling the world one adventure at a time and spreading the word about TEFL wherever he goes. From classrooms to new countries (and plenty of photo ops in between), Teddy loves exploring, meeting new people, and showing how teaching English can open doors to incredible experiences worldwide.
