The Eligibility Checker: see which teaching doors your passport opens
Answer three quick questions and the checker reads your passport, your studies and your age against the entry rules we track on the Visa Desk. Each result carries a link to the government or programme page that owns the rule, so you can check the primary source yourself before you plan a move.

The Eligibility Checker
Your passport, your studies and your age, read against the destinations on the board, the Irish ELA route into France, Germany and Austria, and teaching online. Every result links to the page that owns the rule.
Open means your answers meet the rules as published. Check the detail means a condition needs confirming. Not this one names the exact rule that closes the door, so nothing is a mystery.
Updated 28 October 2026: the checker had no card for the route most Irish students actually use into a European classroom, the Department of Education and Youth’s English Language Assistant scheme. An Irish passport now gets a France, Germany and Austria card, built from the 2026/27 terms on gov.ie read at source today. It shows as “check the detail” for students and graduates aged 18 to 35, because the 2026/27 round closed on 12 March 2026 and no 2027/28 forms are published, and as “not this one” with the reason for anyone outside the studies or age rules. The card carries the 2026/27 pay: 1,036.21 euro gross a month in France and 1,000 euro net in Germany, each for 12 hours, and approximately 2,000 euro gross in Austria for 13 hours. Every official link in the checker was click-tested today and ten of eleven loaded. The Colombian foreign ministry refused our automated request, so that one is unconfirmed rather than broken. No other rule was changed.
Official sources, dated checks, honest corrections
Every rule inside this checker is read from an official source, an immigration office, a ministry programme page or a government portal, and carries the date we last checked it. When a source moves, we correct the checker in place and say so. That is how the whole publication works.
