Contracts typically run for one to two years, with the main hiring season from July to September.

Freshly qualified teachers usually start through dispatch programs, earning around ฿35,000–45,000 per month (≈USD $1,000–$1,400), with benefits such as housing, bonuses, and visa sponsorship. Public school contracts follow the Thai academic calendar, beginning in May. Vietnam, with a population of about 101 million, is one of Asia’s fastest-developing nations — blending traditional values with rapid modernisation. The TEFL scene in Vietnam is booming, driven by strong demand for English in schools and private language centres. For new teachers, Language Centres are the most common entry route, with salaries typically between 35–40 million VND (≈USD $1,300–$1,500) per month.  Most language centres hire year-round, and provide visa sponsorship and relocation assistance. The cost of living is low compared to earnings, allowing teachers to enjoy a high standard of living.
