The world's oldest continuous civilisation isn't all smoked glass and brushed aluminium and while you won't be tripping over artefacts – three decades of round-the-clock development and rash town planning have taken their toll – rich seams of antiquity await.

How it works?

Before you go, you’ll have an application form to complete. Once you submit all your documents and get accepted, you’ll be on your way to China!

Also be aware of the following

  • The visa process will be a lot easier if the TEFL certificate states the 120 hours on
the actual document. If it does not, there are ways around it, but certificates with 120-
Hours said on them seem to pass through much more straightforward.
  • The passport should be valid for at least six months. But as it may take longer to renew a
visa in China it’s best to get that done before leaving.
  • Degrees need to be notarised at the Chinese embassy in the home country of the
applicant. This can be expensive and time-consuming, so it should be done far in
    advance.
  • All documents should be in colour. Black and white papers are not accepted.

What do you need to organize?

  • International flights: You’ll need return flights (can be two one-way)
  • Police check: You’ll need a clean criminal record

  • Budget: Spending money for when you’re getting settled in & excursions

Your teaching experience

consecutive days and have two straight days off between Monday and Friday.

Classes will range from very young learners (3-6) to young learners (7-12), to teens and
occasionally adult classes. But the bulk of the types will be between the ages of 3-12
years old.

For the very young learner’s classes are 45 – 60 minutes, while the young learners have 90
Minute classes. The average number of students is 10-12 in each class.

There will also be a local TA (teaching assistant) in each class to assist you with setting up
activities, disciplining badly behaved students and checking student books.
