  • Budget: For adventures and in the event of an emergency while you are in France
  • Travel insurance: It’s essential to arrange this before you go! EU passport holders are entitled to the EU health card.
  • Accommodation in France, we recommend AirBNB to rent a room for the first couple of weeks.

    Your Role as a Teacher

    You will be welcomed into a school for a period of six months to work alongside the existing classroom teachers in all aspects of their work. Your role will be to support these teachers in non-linguistic lessons, providing a natural inlet for the English language.

    As a teaching assistant you work in collaboration with the teaching team of your assigned school to define objectives and content in English which are in line with the material being taught by the classroom teacher in other subjects. 

    You will participate in activities, propose linguistic and cultural links, and help to develop the spoken and written skills of each pupil as well as their awareness of the cultures of English-speaking countries

    You will be teaching mostly pre-primary and primary students aged between 3-12 years for 15-20 hours per week. Classes can range from 25 to 35 students.
